A LETTER FROM Ben sherwood, founder & ceo of mojo
A great coach can be a force multiplier for all the good things in life – success in sports, in school, and at work. Our company, MOJO, has created an app that makes it easier to be a great coach — by making coaching youth sports stress-free, easy, and fun. We assembled top experts and leaders in youth sports to ensure that the practice plans and activities we give coaches are time-tested and age-appropriate. And MOJO is committed to ensuring that kids from all neighborhoods and backgrounds have the chance to play and grow on and off the field.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Coaching Corps.
Some 70% of kids drop out of youth sports by the age of 11, with many kids leaving because it’s no longer fun, and many more because their families simply cannot afford it. One way MOJO is trying to change that is by putting the MOJO app in the hands of Coaching Corps volunteers so they have the best resources to coach young people who might otherwise be left without access to sports. Every community needs caring, trained coaches and high-quality sports opportunities.
I am honored to work alongside Coaching Corps. We hope MOJO helps unlock the talent and ability in every coach and we are thrilled to share the impact coaches can have on kids through Coaching Corps’ National Coaches Day Celebration. Together, MOJO and Coaching Corps can make youth sports a better place for everyone — one coach, one kid, and one team at a time.
Founder & CEO, MOJO
PS: I’m passing the ball to former NBA All-Star Antonio Davis to share his story next week – you won’t want to miss it!
