University of San Diego Coaching Corps Hosts Kickball Tournament

(San Diego) – On November 2, the leadership team of the University of San Diego Coaching Corps chapter hosted a kickball tournament and invited local college students out for a fun afternoon of kickball, and to learn about Coaching Corps.

Six teams, including the Coaching Corps leadership team from San Diego State, members from the USD varsity softball team, and active members from fraternities on USD’s campus enjoyed an afternoon of competition, fun and laughter. The Round-Robin tournament concluded with a team from the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity being crowned as champions.

Amidst the fun, Coaching Corps members shared Coaching Corps’ mission to help underprivileged kids in low-income communities and offered information on how students can join the Coaching Corps movement.

A free lunch was provided and participants had the chance to sign up to join Coaching Corps, as well as join us with our partners Girls on the Run for a 5k with youth in downtown San Diego on Sunday, December 8th.
