Samantha, known as Sam, started volunteering with Coaching Corps as a coach working with Girls on the Run and the Department of Parks and Recreation. Her passion for Coaching Corps lead her to join the leadership team of the California State University at Northridge (CSUN) chapter as the Director of Recruitment and a Team Captain.
From the CSUN Chapter President to the Coaching Corps Regional Program Manager for Los Angeles –Sam is highly regarded as an ambitious Team Captain that is reliable, caring, and dedicated. As a Team Captain, Sam is responsible for recruiting coaches on her campus to be trained and placed throughout the community. She has helped CSUN exceed their recruitment goals this year and they are still growing! She meets and communicates with her team regularly and never hesitates to help wherever there is a need.
“Having someone like Sam on a team is like having 100 people on a team because she does more than the expectation,” said Ivan San Pedro, CSUN Chapter President. “Sam has worked so hard and is so passionate about Coaching Corps that all her coaches look up to her as a great leader and a friend.”
Without people like Sam, we can’t provide trained coaches to serve communities that. You, too, can join our team and help make a difference in your community. Find out how.
