Summer #CorpsCommunity Kicks Off Today! The Volunteer-Minded, Take Note

Summer has arrived. With COVID-19, people are not taking their usual summer vacations. Stuck at home, many are looking for meaningful ways to spend their time. Coaching Corps is giving people a way to help with the Summer #CorpsCommunity campaign.

Thousands of children inunder-resourced communities Coaching Corps supports rely on school breakfast and lunch to avoid hunger. With school closings, these kids and their families are struggling to find their next meal.Schools need immediate help distributing food without which many kids will not have enough to eat.

For the past three monthsbeginning when shelterinplace orders pushed the masses inside, Coaching Corps began recruiting volunteers to help deliver food and basic supplies to kids and their parents in need.

Here are a few Coaching Corps volunteers who took their coaching skills and empathy to the frontlines:

Misha Dale (left) and Mackenzie O’Connell, at The Kids Pantry in San Diego where they provided hundreds of families with meal kits.
William Paul Clark volunteering at Project Angel Foods in Los Angeles to make sure the elderly have a meal.
Joshua Jones organizing food boxes for families at the Emeryville Citizens Assistance Program.

Join the Summer #CorpsCommunity

As families continue to require relief, Coaching Corps  is expanding the volunteer recruitment effort with the Summer #CorpsCommunity. Community means looking out for each other, and this is the Coaching Corps way of showing up for our neighbors.

Please join the Coaching Corps Summer #CorpsCommunity. Your small action will have a big impact.
