Chanel grew up in southwestern Connecticut, where she fell in love with the Sheffield-Posada-Matsui era Yankees before relocating to Boston for college and becoming a Patriots convert – no Red Sox though, absolutely not. While by no means a star athlete, her middle and high school career on the volleyball, basketball, and softball teams taught her the importance of collaboration, teamwork, and healthy competition. Her work with young people spans non-profits, early child education, K12, and higher education. In her role at MIT, she supports student-athletes with concussions navigating academics.
