It is our honor to recognize the WRAP Program as our Corps Partner of the Month for December!
WRAP (Winners Reaching Amazing Potential) is a citywide afterschool program managed by Long Beach Unified School District. It ensures thousands of local students and their families have access to convenient, no-cost, high-quality expanded learning programs. It is designated as a balanced mixture of academic enrichment and assistance and physically and emotionally healthy activities, fundamental components of youth development.
The mission of WRAP is to provide positive character growth and educational opportunities for all students that support the academic, social-emotional, and physical needs of kids, based on youth voice and choice, and input from and in collaboration with partner organizations teachers, parents, and community.
We are excited to share our interview with Rasheka Henry, WRAP Academic Director, on location at Tincher Preparatory School in Long Beach, CA, where she discussed the program’s ambition and its prolific impact on young people.
