Coaching Corps Volunteers Participate in Earth Day!

Coaching Corps volunteers are committed to changing the game for kids living in our most underserved communities.  And they realize that service doesn’t stop with coaching.  These passionate volunteers never hesitate to take their commitment for a better world off of the courts and into the community.  On Saturday, May 21st, a contingent of approximately 20 Coaching Corps AmeriCorps coaches, VISTA’s and students from UCLA and USC teamed up with Heal the Bay for their 2012 Earth Day “Nothing But Sand” beach clean-up in Santa Monica. After cleaning the beach with around 200 other community volunteers, the Coaching Corps group enjoyed lunch and played beach volleyball and football. The volunteers had a great time improving the community and spreading awareness for the growing Coaching Corps movement.
