Eric Thompson is the new (and first) Head of Brand Marketing at Uber. He is bringing Uber to every major city in the world by connecting customers with the magic of Uber through visionary communications and iconic experiences. Eric formerly was the Vice President, Head of Global Entertainment Marketing for Levi Strauss & Company. He was responsible for defining Levi’s sports, entertainment and engagement marketing vision, strategy and positioning. He also developed tactics and activated marketing communications and programs to drive consumer engagement and business results.
Prior to Levi’s he worked at Visa Corporation where he built campaign architecture encompassing both consumer and business audiences that impacted all customer and member communications. He also led all Visa brand integration and product placement across television, film and gaming. He started his career in advertising working for over a decade at leading global advertising agencies on Fortune 500 companies spanning industries from automotive, packaged goods, retail, transportation and technology.
He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising.
