Eric Thompson is an accomplished marketing executive with expertise in building, revitalizing and driving all aspects of global brand marketing. Eric served as the Chief Marketing Officer of the iconic Sears brand. Prior to Sears, Eric was Uber’s first Head of Brand Marketing during a time of significant growth. Eric formerly was the Head of Global Entertainment Marketing for Levi Strauss & Company where he was responsible for defining Levi’s sports, entertainment and engagement including the debut of the San Francisco 49ers Levi’s Stadium. While at Visa Corporation, Eric ran campaigns across both consumer and business audiences while leading all Visa brand integration and product placement. He started his career working at leading global advertising agencies on Fortune 500 accounts from automotive and packaged goods, to retail, transportation and technology.
Since leaving the corporate world, Eric tapped into his lifelong passion for cars, founding Thompson Motorcars to help individuals procure the cars of their dreams, both vintage and new. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising. He lives in San Francisco with his wife Sheila.
